Corson Hirschfeld’s suspense novels* are inspired by his love of quirky Americana, eclectic assignments as a professional photographer, and his interest in natural history. Corson’s painted photographs of the world’s sacred sites have appeared in one-person exhibitions at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, the Museum of the American Indian, and other venues around the country. He formerly edited the Journal of Herpetology and has written for scientific, art, and popular publications. Corson recently moved from Ohio to the wilds of Oklahoma to join his wife Tassie, an anthropologist with the University of Oklahoma. Their new home is situated in the Cross Timbers, near Little Axe and the site of a historic trading post along the old Chisholm Trail.
