Robert A. Heinlein (1907-1988), author of ground-breaking novels such as STARSHIP TROOPERS, RED PLANET, STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND and THE MOON IS A HARSH MISTRESS, and is generally considered the greatest and most influential science fiction writer of the twentieth century – some would argue that greatest writer, regardless of genre.  The film “Destination Moon,” which Heinlein scripted and for which he provided technical direction, remains a classic and is considered the first modern science fiction film.   The Robert A. & Virginia Heinlein Prize Trust was founded to encourage space exploration.  For further information (including news about the limited edition of the complete set of Heinlein’s works), click on the websites below.
