Scribbling Star Trek stories in junior high math class and writing the first chapter of a fantasy novel in English class put Christie Golden on a path early on that has led to her publishing twenty-nine novels and dozens of short stories in the fields of fantasy, science fiction and horror. Golden launched the TSR Ravenloft line in 1991 with her first novel, the highly successful VAMPIRE OF THE MISTS, creating the first elven vampire in fantasy literature, Jander Sunstar. A.D. 999, written under the name of Jadrien Bell. and IN STONE’S CLASP, won Golden the Colorado Author’s League Award for Best Genre Novel in 1999 and 2004. Golden lives in Colorado with her artist husband and their two cats.
