SFWA

SFWA (Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America) is an organization devoted to serving the interests of science fiction and fantasy writers as well as encouraging the reading, appreciation and dissemination of science fiction and fantasy in the world at large.  Each year SFWA members vote for works in several categories to win the prestigious Nebula Award.  The Nebula Award anthologies have been published every year since 1966 without interruption.  SFWA also bestows the Andre Norton Award for Outstanding Young Adult Science Fiction or Fantasy book and the Grand Master Award (now called the Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award) for lifetime achievement. Damon Knight (1922-2002) founded SFWA in 1965.  Today SFWA has over 1,500 members.  These include most professional writers of science fiction and fantasy in North America as well as many writers in other parts of the world.  For more information, please go to www.sfwa.org. Forthcoming SFWA titles include NEBULA AWARDS® SHOWCASE 2007, edited by Mike Resnick, and THE SFWA EUROPEAN HALL OF FAME, edited by James Morrow and Kathryn Morrow.
